The mission of Debt Collector Management is to advise the Controller and other Department of Justice officials on financial, legal, administrative, and policy issues associated with the formulation, development, and execution of policies and programs required to carry out the Department's debt collection responsibilities. QualificationsTo qualify for the position of Supervisory Program Specialist at (GS-0301-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade.

To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level, you must possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service, experience includes:
1. Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
2. Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.
3. Assesses program effectiveness, recommends improvements, directs the production of necessary processes to ensure successful implementation of programs and projects and coordinates with staff to ensure that the goals and directives are enforced.
4. Serve as an expert in the design, development, test, and readiness of systems or equipment that involve new concepts and new and varied requirements.
5. Serve as liaison with other office staffs, agencies and components of the Department with respect to administrative and cross component requirements.
