The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the Fuel Court Manager in maintaining a positive environment which provides fast, efficient, and friendly service ensuring a total quality experience for both our customers and team members. The incumbent is responsible for supervising team members at the Gas and Smoke Shop, achieving the profitability goals and guest service standards established for the operation.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make ROCKTANE their choice for their gas station needs; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations by providing superior guest service. Exudes Hard Rock Mottos to create excellent first and last impression for all guests.
  • Provides an amplified guest service environment by focusing on the needs of internal and external guests.
  • Resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers, Supervisors and Managers.
  • Operate IT System’s (Agilysis POS, GHS Fuel Pump Software, and other gas station related equipment).
  • Assist guests as needed in paying, utilizing, or answering questions about the system.
  • Accurately maintains and appropriately handles all tender at gasoline dispenser.
  • Proactively welcomes and greets arriving and departing guests.
  • Attends to needs of all guests within ROCKTANE in an efficient manner, and specifically follows all established safety protocol.
  • Assist with selling products intended for sale on the fuel court including cigarettes, beer, wine.
  • Answer questions about the property, upcoming events, contacts, and provide directions as needed.
  • Maintain work area in an orderly, clean, neat manner.
  • Follow internal procedures for dispensing gasoline, always verbally reconfirming and waiting for an acknowledgement of the guest’s preference and amount requested.
  • Remove trash.
  • Meets Hard Rock standard for grooming, uniform or attire.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
  • Use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, gas station pumps, cash registers and computer equipment.
  • Abide by all applicable Hard Rock policies and procedures.
  • Assists in training customer service, product knowledge and education.
  • Encouraging safe work practices, and a demonstrated commitment to our guiding principles and house rules.
  • Directly supervises and acts as the manager on duty in the absence of Rocktane manager.
  • Responsible for coaching, resolving issues and serving as a link between subordinates and upper management.
  • Ensure employees have appropriate and realistic job goals.
  • Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees.
  • Monitoring and appraising job results.
  • Implementing and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitize work and public spaces.
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) three (3) years experience required in any retail/fast food environment.
  • Minimum one (1) years supervisory experience required in any retail/fast food environment.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Cashiering/money handling experience in making accurate change in a fast-paced environment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Must possess ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time.
  • Must have extensive cashiering experience.
  • Must have exceptional guest service skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and other team members.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions standing/walking for long periods of time.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screen.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.


KNOWLEDGE OF:
  • Procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, SQL, and CMP.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
  • P&L, inventory, receiving and all associated systems and equipment.
  • Programs designed to help Save the Planet.
  • Gaming industry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • The Rocktane is located outdoors and as such there is exposure to all weather conditions.
  • Work environment includes exposure to gas and diesel fumes.
  • Environment can be hectic and fast-paced.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
Additional Information

Applicants must already be authorized to work in the US and must be able to obtain and maintain a casino license in the state of California.
