Responsibilities

Position Summary:Supervises Security personnel on assigned shifts in carrying out planned activities of the security program as well as any authorized duties relating to emergency management functions. Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Maintains a comprehensive inspection, test and maintenance program for all security physical and electronic measures. Follows up on pending security issues.
  • Implements requirements of the Security Management Plan. Manages and coordinates responses to critical incidents. Monitors and documents actual and potential security breaches.
  • Monitors existing security systems and technologies for possible security leaks or fraud.
  • Conducts ongoing security orientation and training of assigned staff and may serve as Field Training Officer.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a security officer involving extensive public contact.
Licensure:
  • Ability to obtain a valid State Guard Card.
Training:
  • Knowledge of Life Safety, TJC CMS and OSHA regulations and standards. Workplace violence training within 6 months of employment. Completion of NIMS compliant ICS 100HC, 200HC, & 700 courses or state equivalent. CPR BLS & HA Certification within 90 days of employment. Preferred, International Association of Healthcare Security and Security (IAHSS) Basic course within 90 days of employment and IAHSS Supervisor course within six months of employment.
