Summary/ObjectiveYou will be responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment while assisting three to four (3 to 4) transition-aged (16-21 years) students with disabilities in developing a greater understanding of the options available to them once they transition from youth to adult services.During the Weaver Industries’ Summer Transition Program (Program), you will: Work assignments will be both indoors and outdoors. You may work in conditions that may include exposure to blood-borne pathogens, communicable diseases, potentially infectious material, and aggressive behavior. The Program is six weeks in duration (Tuesday, June 1 to Friday, July 9, 2021 and Monday, July 12 to Friday, August 20, 2021) and operates Monday through Friday, four (4) hours per day (9AM – 1:00PM). Outside the four hours of the program, you will be responsible for transporting your students to and from the Program, either in your own vehicle with mileage reimbursement (if approved) or in a company-provided vehicle.You can apply for just one of the six-week sessions or for the entire 12 weeks (preferred).There is a mandatory 40-hour (approximate) paid training/certification process that must be completed prior to the assignment. This includes Weaver-specific training, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities certification training, First Aid and CPR training, and Safe Driver training.
