Job Summary

For a research project titled, Adult Learners in Higher Education, GGC undergraduate students with a strong background in the social and behavioral sciences are encouraged to apply. This student will work with the Principal Investigator of this project on data collection, data management, literature review writing, library searches, data analysis, and manuscript preparation assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with transcribing audio files from data collection
  • Participate in data analysis (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Use Microsoft Office products for report writing, manuscript preparation, and conference PowerPoint preparation
  • Prepare draft reports as needed on the project
  • Data management skills using SPSS software
  • Conducting library searches for writing effective literature reviews
  • Provide project support with emails, phone calls, and follow-up tasks
Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Georgia Gwinnett College.
  • GPA above 3.0
  • Professional demeanor with excellent writing skills
  • Ability to apply judgment and discretion in analyzing confidential research responses
  • Ability to be highly organized, attentive to details, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Human Development & Aging Services or Psychology major
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
