Coordinator, $3,897-$7,051. Appointments are typically made at the beginning of the salary range. This is a full-time,
benefited, exempt, 12-month pay plan, permanent position with a one-year probationary period in the Student Activities

Programming and Event Coordinator is responsible for long-term planning and implementa?on of programs and large-
scale student events to achieve programma?c goals as well as facilita?ng mul?ple daily opera?onal aspects of the SAC,
CenterArts and Conference and Event Services (CES). This includes independent analysis and development of complex
project and event management systems that include work with both on campus personnel as well as off campus vendors.
The Programming and Event Coordinator ensures that all ac?vi?es managed by the SAC are effec?vely and professionally
operated in a manner that serves both the mission of the University and the SAC. The Programming and Event Coordinator
leads the Ins?tu?onal Programming Model (IPM) large scale event subcommitee, serves as a liaison to outside en??es

Minimum Qualifications: Requires general knowledge and skills in program or event planning with a foundational
knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training
and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or
improvement of programming policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

business; ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; ability to prioritize work duties; able to
work effectively in a climate characterized by heavy traffic loads, shifting priorities, and the need to balance multiple
tasks; ability to schedule own workload, assign tasks, provide lead work direction, meet multiple deadlines, work
independently, and present a professional appearance.
Must possess a valid California Driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience independently crea?ng ideas and developing plans to facilitate programming or
large-scale events. Experience working in a student-focused university, or college environment preferred.
