Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) exists within the Commercial Bank and provides a broad array of syndicated and bi-lateral loan servicing support to the Firm's Wholesale Lending Businesses. These functions include Loan Documentation Prep & Coordination, Statement Spreading, Credit Administration, Deal Closing/Funding, Credit Compliance Monitoring, and Loan Servicing.

This position is responsible for project management and ensuring operational readiness for transformational initiatives that are cross functional. The role will organize, direct, manage, coordinate and execute key activities of the assigned projects in order to ensure operations staff is appropriately ready to manage/operate changes with high quality and sound controls.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lead process improvements, re-engineering and automation projects by keeping all project stakeholders on task, establishing milestone dates and being the point of contact with business and technology partners
  • Analyze processing throughput volume data to develop inputs for a capacity plan model that informs the business of the number of FTEs required complete task; and assist with budget preparation to ensure headcount requirements get communicated to all necessary stakeholders
  • Establish and measure key performance indicators (KPI) for various processes and measure variance between expected and actual results with the goal of summarizing to report out to stakeholders
  • Identify the needs to add human and/or technology resources to ensure the business achieves its primary goals with operational excellence
  • Create and deliver presentations on operational readiness for various projects to ensure project delivery remains on task and within expected timelines
  • Create and deliver, both in writing and verbally, audience-appropriate presentations on operational and otherwise complex subjects to senior leaders or staff members
  • Manage escalations from business partners in the risk management department by demonstrating sound judgment in knowing when/what to escalate and to whom to drive issue resolutions that are effective and timely
  • Facilitate discussions among key business stakeholders to solve identify solutions to problems and drive efficiencies
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in creating lookup tables using MS Excel and use PowerPoint to create presentations

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of project management experience preferably in a financial institution
  • Advance skills in Excel tools including VBA/Macros preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with strong attention to details. Ability to listen effectively and credibly present ideas
  • Ability to summarize large amounts of complex data to include in presentations to senior management
  • Ability to create concise communication materials and present findings to senior management
  • Strong interpersonal leadership, partnership and influencing skills with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Strong project management skills with solid time management, organizational, planning and follow up skills
  • Sound business acumen, good understanding of operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to effectively facilitate problem resolution
  • Outstanding organizational and business skills and the ability to deal successfully with complex issues, multiple projects and short deadlines
  • Flexible, with ability to work under minimum direction and use independent judgment in decision-making
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
