BAI is actively seeking a Construction Inspector experienced in Stormwater Management Facilities.

Job Summary

The Construction Inspector will be hired to work primarily on county capital projects all located within Harford County, Maryland. Projects will include Stream Restoration and Stormwater Management Retrofit/Reconstruction.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include inspect/observe construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, ordinances, etc., prepare electronic daily reports, facilitate resolution of alleged code violations, supports materials sampling/testing activities. Other related duties may be required as directed by County supervision.

Knowledge, Skills, and Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years construction inspection experience in similar role. Demonstrated training and/or post-High School education may be substituted for some required experience.
  • Must have current MDE Certified Responsible Personnel Certification (RPC)
  • Must be able to read and understand Erosion & Sediment Control plans and specifications
  • Must be able to read and understand Stream Restoration and Stormwater Management plans and specifications
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must be able to walk entire perimeter of construction sites across uneven terrain
  • Ability to work well within a project team by building relationships and teamwork
  • Ability to travel to project sites
