Handling Systems Inc is looking for a Stockroom Clerk to join our winning parts team! The Stockroom Clerk issues and stores spare parts for operations and service vans by performing the following duties at the direction of the stockroom supervisor:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Store purchased parts in stockroom bins and issue parts to technicians upon request.
Maintain accurate records of parts received and issued, and perform periodic inventory of parts in storeroom.
Work with and support all phases of shipping and receiving; control supplies and tools.
Ability to interface professionally with vendors, customers, management, and peers.
Ship and receive parts and supplies. Pull, put away, and inventory supplies, tools and materials.
Receive and ship UPS and Fed Ex orders on a daily basis. Deliver received items to addressees in a timely fashion.
Press tires as needed.
Participate in Parts Department general inventories.
Perform various duties that are directly or indirectly associated with company activity, as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general educational development (GED), in addition to three months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Be able to read, write and speak fluently in English. Be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Be able to write simple correspondence. Be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee may periodically be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

DRESS CODE

Uniform as provided by company, with steel-toed shoes.

Clean neat appearance, shirt tails tucked in, and belt to be worn with trousers.

For safety reasons, no jewelry is to be worn.

BUSINESS HOURS
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. (or variable as required).
