ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain the cleanliness of the food and beverage operations:

• Sweeps and mops the entire kitchen, dish areas, restaurant line, and Banquet Pantry areas, and walk-in coolers.
• Washes and clears counters, shelves, and Queens.
• Washes dish area and kitchen mats.
• Assists cafeteria attendant and cooks with set-up and breakdown and cleanliness of cafeteria.
• Monitors trash and recycling levels in all areas and removes when needed.
• Washes pots and pans and returns them to proper place after cleaning.
• Scrubs kettles, skillets, and all floor drains.

• Follow all safety and security procedures.

Maintains supply of clean china, glassware, silver, etc. for all hotel outlets:

• Cleans china, silverware, and glassware by operating dish machine or by hand as needed.
• Places bus pans in cook's line; cleans dirty dishes as needed.
• Keeps cook line well stocked with china/hot plates and sauté pans.
• Keeps glassware organized at all times, storing dishware in the proper location.
• Polishes all silver when needed.
• Empties all dirty dishware in the employee cafeteria, washes and returns to the proper location.
• Assists in the breakdown of banquet functions; washes dishes from functions.

Works as a Team member to maintain pleasant work environment:

• Maintain a positive inter-departmental relationship through the hotel and with outside vendors.
• Follows the Carlson Attendance Policy.
• Reports to work dressed according to Carlson Grooming Standards.

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations:

• Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service.
• Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems.
• Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis.
• Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction.

Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guests.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
• Experience in similar position within an upscale restaurant environment is preferred;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Must possess a team spirited attitude and a willingness to help;
• Ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and guests;
• Ability to retain and give general hotel information.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds;
• Ability to stand for long periods of time;
• Ability to hear with 100% accuracy;
• Ability to exert well paced mobility for an eight (8) hour shift.
