Staff Development/Staffing Coordinator (LVN)

Adora Midtown Park is conducting a search for a licensed nurse with long term care experience to work as our Staff Development/Staffing Coordinator. The Staff Development/Staffing Coordinator is to serve as the primary contact for all staffing functions and be a part of the department head team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Staffing for all nursing personnel (RN, LVN, CMA, CNAs)
- Process applications for all positions
- Schedule and conduct interviews with qualified applicants/candidates
- Complete new hire reference checks, license/certification verification
- Review staffing routinely and make adjustments based on census
- Conduct clinical portion of the new hire orientation
- Conduct drug testing of all new hires
- Maintain attendance records, excused/unexcused absences
- Set up, track and log attendance for all State mandated In-services and In-services as required by Administrator and DON
- Annual Proficiency Testing for Certified Nurse Aides
- May Participate in assessment and evaluation of nursing staff
- Maintain copies and track nurse and nurse aide licenses
- Track, audit and administer TB tests, Flu Shots, etc for Residents and Employees
- Work the floor as needed
- Take on-call rotation
Job Requirements- Current, valid licensure as an LVN is required.
- 2 years experience in a nursing home or home health setting providing care to geriatric-age patients
- Previous scheduling experience required, KRONOS experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed
- Strong written and verbal skills required
