The Role: This role reports into the Associate Director, Digital Lab Systems and Operations Lead and is based in our Norwood, MA location. Here’s What You’ll Do: Lead implementation of new Digital lab systems, upgrades, system maintenance and other large projects and assist in deployment and adoption of new and current technologies Collaborate with Digital Infrastructure/Cybersecurity and Industrial team to ensure operation of highly available, secure Digital Lab Systems and adhere to industry best practices Partner with Digital teams to ensure a robust, optimized, and integrated digital landscape Translate requirements from business partners and well versed in good documentation practices Demonstrate your ability to rapidly learn and improve the processes critical to our stakeholders Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders Question the status quo, leveraging both new technologies and creative solutions within existing systems Apply an operational excellence mindset to help identify, devise, and recommend new opportunities to optimize current processes Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information technology, science, engineering, informatics, or relevant academic discipline 7+ years’ experience working as a systems administrator, preferably in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry Experience deploying systems in cloud infrastructure (AWS), on-premise virtual infrastructure (VMware) and physical server/workstations. AWS Certified SysOps Administrator and VMWare certified technical associate are a plus Experience supporting digital systems in either manufacturing or lab environment. Working knowledge of operating systems, database systems and storage. Working knowledge and troubleshooting of network and firewall related issues. Working knowledge of Digital lab systems like data historians, lab execution systems, laboratory information management systems, application servers (web servers and databases). Ability to adapt to a fast paced, startup-like environment. Moderna is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator - Digital Lab Systems. This role will be responsible for deployment, management, and maintenance of all Digital Lab Systems.
