Sr Specialist, Email Marketing

Job Summary:The Sr Specialist, Email Marketing is responsible for strengthening customer relationships with GNC primarily through the optimization of email marketing. The Sr. Specialist, Email Marketing will work closely with the Sr. Manager, Customer Experience as well as the Analytics and CRM teams to ensure the CRM strategy is executed as intended. The associate will also collaborate with and manage other stakeholders in the marketing process including planning, creative, merchandising and the loyalty team. The role will be responsible for staging and Quality Assurance of assigned marketing channels as well as reporting on their performance. This position is responsible for the integrity of these channels of communication ensuring retention, reach and conversion and list growth through optimization of content, frequency, relevance and functionality. At times, this person will be expected to support other requirements using knowledge of best practice to innovate for the benefit of other channels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure marketing strategies drive towards maximum efficiency, integrity and automation as part of the strategy
- Collaborate with marketing planning, creative, merchandising and e-commerce to ensure all stakeholders are represented in the email marketing calendar
- Build and execute email marketing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, which would include basic AMPscript coding
- Own success metrics including email reach, retention, on-time and accurate execution and work with partner to ensure that SLAs are met
- Analyze campaign performance and provide status reports to the business
- Identify and problem solve new technical needs as they arise
- Develop a good understanding of GNC needs and customer response to channels and work with insights teams to meet customers’ expectations of all assigned channels including how these hands off to other touchpoints, including stores
- Provide recommendations to improve customer response
- Closely monitor channel innovations and communicate and react appropriately

Job Specifications:QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
- 5+ years progressive Marketing experience preferred
- Preference given to any person with Salesforce or related Omni-channel marketing automation experience
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
