We are seeking an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Sr. Product Manager Technical to manage newly introduced internal product and service for automating and managing Amazon tax payment. Each year Amazon tax teams pay billions of dollars to tax jurisdictions (countries, state/province, city, or municipalities). Missed or late tax payment incurs financial penalty and impacts Amazon’s reputation.
You will manage the product features from conception to launch and own the success of the product. You will lead the product vision, strategy, roadmap, user experience, grooming, planning, design, delivery and launch. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders in engineering, support, UX design, business, program management and executive teams, ensuring collaboration, eliminating roadblocks, and effectively managing the product life cycle. Finally, you will take an active role in raising the bar for product management process and practices on the Product Management Technical team.
A successful candidate will have a proven track record of owning and delivering high-quality technical products from initial visioning to launch under aggressive timelines. You must be highly analytical and technical, and can communicate compellingly and work effectively in a fast growth matrix organization. You must be customer focused and comfort making decisions despite ambiguity. You must be able to effectively manage the customers’ relationship, and adept at synthesizing and prioritizing feature requests into simple and user friendly solutions. This product has existing customers in production, so you must be able to balance the workload of supporting existing customers and proactively pursuing new features for the long term product growth.
