Senior Manager Data Engineering (Sr. Mgr Data Engineering) - #Req (US Remote only)

We need a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to help Myriad Genetics, Inc. deliver innovative products that allow patients to make life-changing decisions. Our genetic screening and testing help to provide actionable insights to empower people to make critical and timely healthcare decisions by using molecular diagnostic tests for hereditary cancer, urological cancer, depression, and other diseases. We are excited about the future and remain committed to advancing the science of personalized medicine as we develop more products to address unmet medical needs.

Myriad deals in diverse data sets: financial, operations, digital marketing, insurance claims and clinical genomics. The Data Engineering team establishes the data foundation of the company by collaborating with product managers and other data teams like Data Science and Business Intelligence to identify the data needs of the company. The team establishes the data integration pipeline between large and complex data sources and our Snowflake based data warehouse and ensures the efficient operation of our data platform. In the role of Sr Manager, Data Engineering, we are looking for a leader that will strengthen the trajectory of data informed decision making at Myriad.

This is a REMOTE - WORK FROM HOME (US only) position with flex-work as an option if you are near a Myriad location.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Mentor, grow, and lead a team of data engineers that support all aspects of the business
• Work with project managers, product leads and other data leaders to identify and scope data engineering projects
• Provide technical feedback on data integrations, transformations, and warehouse design
• Ensure a high quality, stable data environment and operation is in place at Myriad

ABOUT YOU

• Management experience in data engineering or another data related field
• Strong fundamentals in modern software development including version control, automated testing, and continuous deployment.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, .NET, or similar, with a strength in SQL
• Expertise in translating complex business needs into data products
• Experience working with genomics, clinical, and/or insurance data is a plus
• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
