How will you make an impact?
The Human Identification (HID) Business Unit is committed to providing genetic solutions to advance public safety. As a team, we work to ensure the voice of customer is brought into our product portfolio. Our goal is to deliver complete, differentiated solutions to meet customer needs.

In this position, you will lead our core lab forensic product portfolio including consumables and instruments for the HID business. You will serve as the team leader, product champion, strategy architect, roadmap steward, launch specialist, and business leader for all product management responsibilities across the high mix portfolio. This high visibility role will be an experienced business leader, in tune with customers and the industry, with a track record of building hard-working teams and delivering results.

What will you do?
Combining both team leadership and individual contributor responsibilities, you will:

  • Lead the Core HID business & portfolio

    • Develop and implement the core business strategy to increase growth and customer value

    • Lead a team of product managers to progress in role while delivering high-valued, integrated solutions

    • Work with cross-functional team members across to align efforts and efficiently deliver the strategic vision

  • Directly lead a product portfolio to be defined

    • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy to find opportunities for growing customer and business value

    • Responsible for worldwide supply, demand, revenue, margin, pricing, quality and life cycle for the product portfolio

    • Lead product development from concept through commercialization definition of customer and product requirements, value proposition, and go-to-market strategy

How will you get here?
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, business or related area required
  • MBA and/or Master’s or Ph.D. preferred

Experience

  • 5-7 years proven experience in product management or marketing
  • Strong leadership, project management and planning skills, and comfortable making decisions and accepting changes

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong business and customer focus
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Sound judgment and decisive action to advance projects forward
  • Results oriented with prioritization approach to successfully lead cross functional teams in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated success in marketing, product management or strategy role including participating in market analysis, planning, road mapping and new product development
  • Ability and motivation to understand Forensic and law enforcement markets and communicate to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Global experience is a plus, ability to travel globally approximately 30%
