Cleans Equipment Engineer

This position will require the individual to perform a variety of complex equipment engineering duties in a wafer processing factory. The candidate will recommend and implement procedures to monitor and improve equipment performance. The individual must have a thorough technical understanding of the equipment. The individual must be able to effectively communicate and interface with equipment suppliers, maintenance, manufacturing and engineering organizations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, resolving difficult equipment issues; investigating, analyzing and resolving equipment problems and; provide training for engineering and manufacturing personnel. Also, the scope of the position may include equipment evaluations and qualifications. Improving the performance of equipment to meet the requirements of the factory. The individual will conduct experiments and implement changes to improve equipment performance; evaluate new materials, initiate and review specification. Experience in problem solving methods and statistical methods is preferred.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of a B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering

Prefer two or more years of equipment engineering experience

Prefer Candidates to have expertise on one or more of the following 200mm equipment types

SCP 9400/E200/8500
DaiNippon SCREEN hood

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Tool installation and qualification
  • Identifying and reducing sources of variation
  • Preventing and reducing wafer scrap
  • Reducing defectivity
  • Specializing in improving tool reliability and availability
  • Improving equipment monitoring and control
  • Developing and writing specifications and standard work documentation
  • Implementation of Six-Sigma statistical control methods
  • Experience with statistical process control methodology.
  • Ability to troubleshoot to an advanced level, often dealing with new complex issues.
  • Demonstrated skills to solve problems and implement corrective actions to drive improvement
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good foundational problem-solving skills with creative solutions.
  • Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize daily activities.
  • A strong desire to help create a positive, winning, world class working environment.
