The Sr. Business Analyst PositionSunnova Energy is currently searching for a Sr. Business Analyst who will provide substantial analytical support for Sunnova’s Operations & Maintenance department that will be utilized to drive critical business decisions. The Sr. Business Analyst will work closely with a team of driven professionals to assist in operational tracking and reporting on service-related activity
Sr. Business Analyst Responsibilities- Leads a team of analysts to prepare analysis reporting for key activities and projects by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
- Compiles weekly executive summary and key performance indicator reports
- Produces custom reports and analysis
- Utilizes data and analytics to help drive critical business decisions
- Uses independent judgement to analyze data and make recommendations for changes to support business initiatives
- Identifies key areas for process improvement through data analysis and strategic thinking
- Performs a comprehensive review of the reporting packages and document detailed explanations for significant variances
- Creates process documentation and process flows for current and new processes
- Supports the development, documentation, and implementation of new policies & procedures
- Completes various additional tasks and projects as requested from management
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or another related field required
- 5 year's operations data analytics and process improvement experience
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required
- Proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Excel analytical capability and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications- Work experience as a business analyst in an operations or reporting environment highly desired
- Salesforce.com experience

- Ability to thoughtfully exercise judgment to improve processes and advance the reporting outputs for the team.
- Ability to assess metric outcomes on a relative basis and create sound recommendations based on accurate data evaluation.

- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Excellent judgment, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions- Open office environment
- Able to work extended hours when required
- Extended periods of time working at computer workstation
Physical Requirements- Ability to work at a computer for 6-8 hours per day
- Ability to travel 50% of the time with overnight/out-of-town travel
