Suncrest Hospice is looking for a chaplain to join our growing team of talented and compassionate professionals on a full-time basis and provide care for individuals at end of life. We are looking for Chaplains who possess the following:

  • Strong commitment to improving quality of life while partnering with our community organizations in patient care
  • Ability to work well within a team environment to collaborate with nurses, therapists, social workers, and volunteers
  • Ability to assess the spiritual needs of patients and families/caregivers in the hospice program, ensuring that appropriate services are rendered in a timely manner
  • Comfort level in inter-faith setting
  • Able to work independently on a day-to-day basis
  • Willingness to visit patients wherever they consider home (private homes, long-term care facilities, etc.)

Qualifications for our Chaplain positions:

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited seminary or school of theology, or a degree in pastoral care, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in working with patients and/or families who are dealing with life-threatening illnesses and death.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, (PRN-basis)
  • Some weekends and holidays
