The Department of Public Health (DPH), Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children (PRHC) is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse for the Specialty Care Clinics and to serve as a Clinical Nurse Liaison. The selected candidate oversees the Specialty Care Clinics for the Hospital’s specialty consultant physicians (e.g. orthopedics, gastroenterology, podiatry, etc.) who provide care to the hospital’s inpatient population. Please Note: This position is 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Days off are Sunday and Saturday. This position requires 24/7 "on call " and call back availability. The mission of PRHC is to provide medical, rehabilitative, educational, recreational, habilitative, transitional, and complementary alternative medical services to children and young adults with multiple disabilities, assisting them to achieve their optimal level of independence in all aspects of life. PRHC offers coordinated medical care and therapies in a hospital-based environment, as well as, K-12 schooling, located on the grounds. Educational Services are provided by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have at least (A) one year of full-time or equivalent part-time, experience as a registered nurse in a recognized hospital, clinic or medical facility, and (B) six months of which must have been in a supervisory, administrative or managerial capacity.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL LEVELS IN SERIES: Current and valid registration as a professional nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.*
Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator's license may be required.
