Specialist, eLearning/Multimedia 38669 POSITION PURPOSE: The eLearning/Multimedia Specialist role focuses on the building of training units and ensuring reliability and optimal performance of the Learning Management System, and other HR Communication tools. They effectively support system set-up, maintenance, and development for assigned projects surrounding training initiatives and communication. This role is dually responsible for the build out of training materials and the set up and administration / maintenance of various systems used by the Training and HR teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provide hands-on system administration support, system maintenance and operations support of the LMS and other various programs Diagnose and correct computer systems issues and coordinate with vendor for issues that can’t be resolved through in-house troubleshooting Collaborate with team members to develop, build and maintain curriculum for a variety of audiences and learning delivery methods Collect data and analyze the completion and success of the programs Evaluate and select learning software and software used for training initiatives Provide on-call support, or extended hours which may include evenings/weekends occasionally Coordinate meetings, training reviews and projects or implementation changes Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including all administrative tasks and track sites and efforts involved Coordinate activities and resources for projects that impact multiple departments or for multiple projects OTHER DUTIES: Perform general clerical work such as filing, copying, mailing, etc. Perform other duties as assigned. INCUMBENTS ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ALL DUTIES OF THIS JOB JOB SPECIFICATIONS Required Knowledge/Skills/Attributes Expert ability to extract essential elements and propose appropriate solutions Expert organizational and planning skills; ability to multi-task; attention to detail; productive without compromising quality in a fast-paced environment Expert ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while managing customer expectations and resetting accordingly Expert knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, database and email software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) Solid knowledge of training management systems, or basic system architecture, API integrations Solid interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals Solid knowledge of data analysis with the ability to write reports in easily configured systems, to identify and research variances Solid ability to problem solve through conceptual thinking, analytical and planning skills Solid ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions Solid ability to work in a team environment along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required Two (2) years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development or systems acumen is required Working Conditions Work is performed in a normal office environment or remote. Does not require physical activity other than that typically utilized in such a setting, working with standard office equipment (such as copier, phone, fax and personal computer). Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. Overtime work is possible and may be expected in order to perform the essential functions of the position.
