Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Strategic Advisor

Position Summary:Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Strategic Advisor supporting the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Division in the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, Special Programs Directorate. This is a full-time role at Peterson SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.
The Space Domain Awareness Division (USSF SSC/ECZG) executes system acquisition and sustainment program management, sustaining engineering, maintenance and supply support, and modification execution for ground-based Space Situational Awareness (SSA) sensors and command and control (C2) systems.
Odyssey Systems provides support to the Government in five areas: Product Support, Sustainment Engineering & Sustainment Management, Technical Order Management, Technical User Interface, and System Design, Engineering and Integration. These tasks are executed laterally with SYG depot and development contractors, and with SSA stakeholders.

The SDA Strategic Advisor will support architecture integration, external stakeholder engagement, and will assist in creation of strategic outreach products used to communicate the SDA Division’s vision and strategic initiatives throughout the SDA community. In addition, the SDA Strategic Advisor will assist to coordinate and execute special interest projects across the Division.
- Identify, support, and manage inter-organizational collaborations; support the Government by making recommendations to the Government on management processes during development, improvements and optimization of the Division’s efforts across the USSF, DoD, and Intelligence Community (IC)
- Communicate proactively and effectively across internal and external organizations to identify and implement critical solutions, identify, mitigate and resolve inter-organizational challenges while respecting and supporting differing organizational points of view, agendas, and equities
- Interface with industry, FFRDCs, and other DoD and IC stakeholders to bring state-of-the-art capabilities into the SDA environment and provide technical leadership to evaluate those capabilities
- Work proactively with the Government; contribute technically sound and practical advice to stakeholders on subjects of Space Domain Awareness architectures, requirements, capabilities, and systems
- Support planning and execution of organizational and system elements during definition, development, acquisition, modification, upgrade and sustainment of the portfolio
- Participate in trade studies to support selection of preferred design solutions, commercial hardware or software components, and preferred course of action alternatives in project development/system delivery
- Develop, plan, and implement strategies and analysis for technology demonstrations, prototyping, and system test and evaluation activities
- Participate in requirements development; ensure requirements are complete; appropriate, and verifiable; coordinate on test plan development; support verification activities with SSC/ECZG contractors and stakeholders
- Support the Pivot SDA team to develop operational metrics for Space Domain Awareness effectiveness and mission performance
- Develop, analyze, review and provide recommendations to Government requirements, proposed solutions, potential execution activities
- Research and engage as an analyst providing positions, courses of actions and making recommendations in support of the US Space force and integrated Space Domain Awareness stakeholder community
- Interact with senior business and military personnel within the team, branch, and division as well as with external stakeholders throughout the Space Domain Awareness enterprise
- Conduct rapid research, write analysis, and reports in support of US Space Force positions; assist the Government to vet and prioritize requirements and capabilities
- Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon government direction
- Other duties as required/requested by the Government and within the constraints of the S3 contract
Qualifications:- Must be a US Citizen
- Required Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance, amenable to polygraph
- Required Education: B.A, B.S with additional Operational experience and/or DoD/IC coursework
- 20 experience supporting commercial, civil, or national defense space organizations or teams;
- M.A., M.S., or M.B.A. in Space Operations, Policy, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline with 15 or more years of experience supporting commercial, civil, or national defense space organizations or teams;
- 10 or more must be work directly supporting DoD and/or Intelligence Community (IC) Space Systems Acquisition, Operations, or Sustainment.
- Self-starter, demonstrated ability to communicate professionally across integrated DoD, IC, Contractor, and Industry community and to work autonomously across the community while respecting various agency points of view and equities
Preferred Experience:- Preferred Clearance: active TS/SCI clearance, amenable to polygraph

Please note: Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
