Spa Treatment Assistant Operations Manager

The Well & Being Spa Treatment Assistant Operations manager as guided by the Spa Treatement Manager and W&B Leadership Team will establish, measure and maintain the luxury five-diamond standards of the spa experience and expectations of our internal and external guests. The consistency and undersatnding when supporting the Spa Treatment Manager in implementing and enfocing the Well & Being Spa and fitness experiences is crucial to sucess.

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee all scheduling aspects of all provider schedules (massage, estheticians, salon staff), time off requests, on call staffing needs with approval and review by Treatments Manager and/or SD or ASD.
  • Ensure accuracy of offerings listed in Book4Time online booking module.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all spa services, pricings, offerings, specials, and other services provided at the spa.
  • Assist with overseeing the proper training, implementation, and set up for all spa services at the spa.
  • Assist with tracking of retail sales statistics for all areas (massage, skincare, salon).
  • Responsible for ensuring proper treatment supply inventories are maintained at all times.
  • Responsible for ordering and receiving spa and salon inventory.
  • Perform treatment and room audits to ensure all SOP’s and protocols are being followed.
  • Processes provider compensation reports re: provider payroll, guest no shows, mis-bookings and cancellations
  • Coaches and trains treatment providers on retail sales to achieve all monthly sales goals
  • Assist with proper set up, cleaning, disinfecting protocols as outlined in SOP’s for all spa areas including Salon.
  • Assist with maintaining vendor relationships for the spa and will uphold brand standards for services, products, protocols, and retail support.
  • Assist with coordinating and ensuring ongoing training, standardization of inventory and control procedures, quality control, site inspections, and future development according to the Spa Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure proper treatment supply inventories are maintained at all times.
  • Assist with hiring, training, onboarding and managing all service providers to be accountable for their actions and to be conversant in the business objectives.
  • Provide ongoing support with effective coaching and counseling procedures as necessary for performance management of the team.
  • Assist Spa Business Group Manager as needed with group blocks, contracts, registration desks, etc.
  • Perform opening and/or closing shifts week as the Spa's Manager on Duty.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times, adhering to departmental grooming standards and dress in full uniform constantly.
  • Practice professionalism in every situation with management, guests, and employees treating each person with respect and integrity.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times, including in-house guests, day guests, and telephone inquiries.

Your experience and skills include:

  • Adhere to Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Grooming Guidelines.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience required
  • Good communication skills. Must speak, read and write English
  • Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Highly organized, ability to multi-task and take initiative.
  • Ability to work well within a team and also independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively and consistently develop the supporting staff.
  • Ability to respond to guest concerns with urgency and professionalism.
