Job Summary Conducts final quality inspection using a manual and/or inspection machine method to audit and pack in final containers by performing the following duties. Job Duties • Perform repetitive and routine quality inspections as assigned perform manual quality inspection (visual and with inspection tools such as gauges, micrometers, etc.) and package parts as required by the customer. • Follow quality and packaging procedures to ensure part is within customer specifications. Use blue print, packaging instruction, audit sheets, quality alerts, gages and visual inspection as required for the specific part.

  • Perform sort/pack activities as required to meet the assigned part per hour goals. (PPH) • Maintain productivity boards at the workcenter and enter production, scrap, downtime and daily notes into the Plex system. Print and attach labels to specified container. • When assigned to operate an inspection machine, load and unload parts into an automatic feeding device.
Maintain good operation of the equipment by keeping sensors clean, cameras clean, robots and feed devices. • Assist with machine set-up/changeovers, repairs and continuous improvement projects as assigned. Clear routine equipment faults or stoppages. • Keep work area clean, organized and safe.

Adhere to all 5S standards. • Notify supervisor or leader technician of any equipment, material or quality issues. • Train others as assigned. • Perform machine operator position duties as assigned.

Experience and Education • Perform work under direct supervision • Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff • Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter • Typically require a high school diploma or equivalent and 0 to 2 years of experience Competencies/ Skills • Ability to interpret work instructions • Basic knowledge of gages. Ability to read and interpret data from measuring tools. • Basic computer operation, ability to enter data and simple notes • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide positive and negative whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to add and subtract positive and negative numbers up to 5 decimal places.
