Description Your benefits include: Position Summary: Performs duties directly involved in a variety of technical procedures for the purpose of detecting pathology. Operates the ultrasound equipment and sends images to PACS. Assists in the daily operation of the Radiology Department. Uses sterile technique when necessary and assists the radiologist in all invasive procedures.May be required to work at Ocala Regional Hospital, West Marion Community Hospital, or The Free Standing Emergency Department. West Marion Community Hospital opened in 2002 to meet the healthcare needs of the growing population of West Marion County. The 174-bed hospital features all private rooms and offers a full-service Emergency Department and Quick Care, as well as Marion County’s only inpatient Joint Care Center. Medical services include traditional surgery, radiological services and a variety of outpatient services.
Education:
Vocational or 2 year Associates Degree required. 4 year Bachelor Degree preferred
License/Certification:
Vascular US registry required (either ARDMS or CCI), Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Registered Vascular Tech (RVT) within 12 months of hire / transfer.
ARDMS Abdomen preferred
ARRT (R) preferred
Current Florida License
BLS required
Experience:
Less than 1 year of imaging experience required.
1 - 3 years preferred.
