Job Summary
The Solid Waste Loader is responsible for the collection, recycling, and disposal of commercial and residential solid waste (trash, recycling, and yard waste). Job Responsibilities
100.00% - The Solid Waste Loader will perform a number of routine manual heavy labor tasks in the collection, recycling, and disposal of commercial and residential solid waste (trash, recycling, and yard waste). This position is responsible for performing such tasks in an efficient, safe, and timely manner. Additionally, provides cleanup and routine maintenance of the division"s equipment. Qualifications
Qualifications - Requires the ability to work holiday shifts and Saturday shifts as scheduled. Experience in physically demanding labor in the outdoor environment is highly desired. Must have the ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds constantly throughout the workday and have ability to withstand exposure to extreme and variable weather conditions. Requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, in order to successfully be able to perform the required job duties. This position requires the possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate valid Kansas Commercial Driver's License. The successful candidate must pass the background check and post-offer City physical and drug screen. Hours - Primary work schedule will be Monday through
Friday, 6:00AM to 2:30PM. with a half hour lunch break. As work load
demands; may work as early as 5:00AM and as late as 5:00PM, with some
overtime, Saturdays, and holidays required. Benefits Information
