Boeing Talent Acquisition and The Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) Team is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers that develops and deploys creative and innovative solutions to our customers to join our team in St. Louis, MO. Our mission is to provide the global defense community with solutions that maximize mission readiness and effectiveness, reduce lifecycle costs, and keep people safe. The GVHMS suite of products accomplishes this by acquiring and managing aircraft health and usage data, performing health and usage assessments, updating aircraft configuration, and recommending maintenance actions to aircraft maintainers. Position Responsibilities: Develops and motivates employees Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with direct reports, customers, peers, business partners, and other stakeholders Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and works closely with other GVHMS teams Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes Travel domestically and abroad This position requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Export Control Requirement: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelors, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, aerospace, or technical related field. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with people and for delivering exceptional products and services to our customers. The team applies an Agile, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and deploy Health Management solutions to customers including F-15, F/A-18, and MQ-25. The team defines system requirements, manages projects across supported programs, integrates technical parameters, manages the Cyber Security posture of the system, prepares test plans, sets up and manages testing environments for software verification\validation testing, and provides training and fleet support of the product post-delivery.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
