You'll perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout our development process. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle.

This position reports directly to the Director of Technology to develop and mature advanced concepts for both internal and customer funded research efforts. You'll provide creative and agile solutions to keep our business competitive and adapting to the business environment. The successful candidate will collaborate other subject matter experts and technologists, business development team, and business analysts. The candidate should be self-motivated and be willing to adapt to changing priorities.
Must-haves:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Experience in developing embedded systems as well as troubleshooting problems in them
In-depth knowledge of software configuration management tools as well as defect tracking tools
Proven experience in programming with C++ or C and Python
Strong communication skills to present to internal and external customers as well as author whitepapers.
Willingness to work on a small team performing complex engineering design evaluations for a diverse mission.
Experience developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) from broad capability statements for all phases of the mission.
Experience working on multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Preferred:
Understanding of industry standard software languages such as C, C#, C++, HTML, Java, Python, and VHDL, and MATLAB
Experience with Xilinx FPGA Firmware Development
Thorough understanding of REST and web technology.
Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral
Basic understanding of data structures
The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
