Job Title: Social Media Specialist

Overview:
The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce is looking for a well-qualified Social Media Strategist to join our team. This position would also be responsible for the daily staffing of the Chamber’s Miami Beach Visitor’s Center. Serving under the supervision of the Chamber’s VP of Marketing and Public Relations and the COO for the Chamber and Visitor Center, the candidate would be responsible for the following:
- Development of a comprehensive digital content strategy to increase traffic and engagement on all social media platforms
- Increase brand awareness of the Chamber and Visitor Center at the local, regional, national, and global levels on all digital platforms
- Design social media strategies to achieve objectives, which include support for upcoming events, membership information and spotlights on leaders as well as businesses
- Create and publish original, high quality content to increase positive news regarding Miami Beach to increase tourism confidence, business investment, and community values
- Attend to Visitor Center inquiries and guests located in Miami Beach
- Deliver added value to Chamber membership via targeted social media campaigns to increase membership and membership retention, by working with membership for featured content on an on-going basis
- Supporting the work of leadership to ensure reputation management via rapid response to queries through direct messages
- Represent Chamber as a Social Media Subject Matter Expert to assist with Committee work and new member business development
- Tuesday - Saturday work schedule
- Some paid holidays
Experience and Skills Required:
- Proven work experience as a Social media strategist or Social media manager
- Proven proficiencies with Social Media certifications (i.e. Facebook Blue/Twitter Flight) and Google Analytics
- Omni-channel Branding and Reputation Management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills Bi-Lingual/Bi-Literate a big plus
- Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions based on data
- Capable of gleaning actionable insights from campaigns
- Strong team player and great interpersonal skills a must
- Strong understanding of underlying advertising technology
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
