ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Carter’s, Inc. is seeking a baby-clothes-obsessed content creator to take on our TikTok channel as creator and channel lead. You’ll collaborate with our creative, merchandising, art/design and marketing teams to develop trending content that resonates with our community of parents on TikTok.

As the face of the brand on TikTok, this candidate will be representing our brands in the social space through content development, scheduling and tracking performance while also building a community for our Carter’s brand. The ideal candidate for this role must have a content creation skillset, be passionate about TikTok and have their finger on the pulse of culture and social trends.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Public Affairs and Social Media and will be based in our Buckhead office in our hybrid work environment.

60% Creative Content Development

  • Leverage insight tools, media monitoring and social community platforms to uncover emerging channel trends and parenting insights to inform weekly content creation
  • Leads monthly content strategy and content development from ideation to go-live date for Carter’s brand on TikTok, with support for Reels and other channel syndication included
  • Leads content development through collaboration with CRI in-house creative team, external brand ambassadors/creators, influencers, and external agency partners
  • Supports all key market-share weekends, KVIs, brand campaigns and diversity/inclusion programs by developing channel-appropriate social content
  • Sources user-generated content across TikTok to amplify on brand channel
  • Collaborates with cross-functional team to ideate social content quarterly, monthly, and weekly meetings

20% Channel Management

  • Incorporates accurate project updates to status tracking—including identified creative partners, outside resources, key milestones + deadlines
  • Curates and presents key social concepts for our brands during weekly creative reviews as well as monthly and quarterly business reviews
  • As needed, execute ‘plus-up’ paid buys to amplify reach of high-engagement content

20% Influencer and Community Management

  • Manages ongoing direct relationships with influencer roster, seeding key products and commissioning creative on monthly basis
  • Identify and lead rights approvals for UGC (user-generated content) images to be used within social and owned channels
  • Own day to day community management program to build emotional connections and relationships with customers and fans

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have at least 2+ years’ progressive marketing experience with brand or agencies, or equivalent experience as independent content creator
  • Highly prefer BS/BA degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Hands-on team player fluent in the fundamentals of branding

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Culturally dialed-in social native – lives and breathes Internet Culture
  • Must have excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple stakeholders
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver presentations internally and externally
  • Proven experience with designing and executing social media content
  • Must be innovative, strategic, and results-driven with a shared passion for achieving and exceeding KPIs for the organization
  • Must have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners, strong collaborator
  • Must have previous experience in a high energy, fast-paced environment
  • Must have successfully managed and prioritized multiple projects with competing deadlines; must be able to allocate time and resources accordingly
  • Must have the ability to champion ideas and influence key stakeholders
  • Copywriting skills a plus!
