We are a small dispensary with multiple locations looking for a talented Social media manager to administer our social media accounts. You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. As a Social media manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively. Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.

Goals:

  • Conceptualize and implement ideas for increasing digital media presence in a way that will promote company growth, including but not limited to:
  • Content creation
  • Determining marketing strategy approach and launching promotional campaigns
  • Develop and define our brand through story-telling via omnichannel marketing approach
  • Instagram, leafly, dutchie, youtube, in-store marketing materials and descriptors, website, survey’s, etc.
  • Work with management to determine methods to analyze trends, assess new data, and evaluate efficiency and quality of existing marketing strategies- keep up-to-date with latest techniques
  • Manage social media platform engagement, email announcements, blog posts, promotional updates via dutchie and leafly, etc.
  • Propose ideas for promotions on social media pages that are redeemable in-store

Responsibilities

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing and inventory to ensure brand consistency
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
  • Remain in compliance with OLCC and social media platforms regarding cannabis marketing

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Social media manager
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Familiarity with web design
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and multitasking skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
All customers are required to wear a mask, we also regularly clean frequently touched surfaces on a hourly schedule

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Marketing: 1 year (Preferred)
