Full-Time, Excellent Benefits and Paid Time Off Starting wage: $25.79 - $30.00/hour, based on Education and Experience PURPOSE: The Site Manager 0-5 oversees the day-to-day operations of assigned center(s), provides supervision of all center staff and provides guidance, support and leadership to the center team. This position monitors quality provision of relationship-based integrated services provided to children and families. The Site Manager 0-5 represents and promotes Head Start and Early Head Start (EHS) within the community. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: I. SITE LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION OF QUALITY SERVICES A. Provide leadership and oversight for all center staff including the application of reflective supervision practices. B. Provide a strength-based approach to the monitoring of center staff job performance including the identification of employee strengths and recommendations for work improvements, training and individual employee goals. C. Provide modeling/coaching/mentoring/support related to the agency values, including that families, regardless of their circumstances, are capable of growth and change. D. Supervise and monitor all center activities to ensure services are relationship-based, high-quality, comprehensive and delivered consistently. E. Monitor and ensure staff are implementing Child Safety and Supervision procedures at all times. F. Collaborate with Education Coach to ensure lesson plans are reviewed weekly; support implementation of Conscious Discipline and trauma informed care approaches. G. Assist with hiring new staff, as assigned; provide worksite orientation to new staff. II. CENTER OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT A. Manage all daily and emergent center operational needs, including the scheduling of staff and ensuring required staffing ratios are maintained at all times. B. Review and ensure maintenance of integrated child/family files, both paper and electronically. C. Review and approve all input into electronic time sheets, mileage sheets, written destination logs, required monitoring forms, etc. D. Oversee and ensure confidentiality of all recordkeeping, data entry and record storage. E. Maintain center budget, center supplies and ensure in-kind donations are accurately recorded. F. Oversee ongoing facility maintenance, including safety and sanitation; complete work orders, as needed. G. Act as liaison with landlord or co-tenants when required. H. Prepare and submit monitoring reports to Site Manager Lead/EHS Director, as required. III. COMMUNICATION, COLLABORATION AND TEAMWORK A. Facilitate effective communication between center staff, parents, other agency staff and the community. B. Conduct regular center meetings; encourage and promote problem solving within the center teams. C. Collaborate with agency staff and community partners to promote the involvement of children with special needs and their families in the program. D. Request and schedule department consultations to respond to individual child and family needs; schedule mental health observations; support on-site services from community partners and service providers; participate in child staffings, as needed. E. Collaborate with Department Managers and Directors, as well as, Education Coaches and the Professional Development Trainer to ensure staff receive needed training and skill development. F. Collaborate with agency supervisory or management staff in order to complete performance appraisals; collaborate on annual staffing assignments, disciplinary actions and/or terminations. IV. REQUIRED JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Education: BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or other related degree preferred. AA required or may consider ORO step 9 and 2 years of related experience in lieu of education. Certification or Accreditation: Agency will assist in obtaining necessary certification if candidate does not already have them such as: CPR/First Aid and Food Handler Certification. Experience: Minimum 2 years staff supervision and 2 years working with low-income children and families REQUIRED. Essential Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in the use of computer software programs; strong staff leadership, supervision and effective group facilitation skills; strong desire and ability to collaborate with others; ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines; ability to develop relationships with community partners. Essential Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 35 lbs. a distance of 10 feet and to push/pull up to 35 lbs. a distance of 10 yards. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Sufficient mobility and range of motion to perform intermittent standing, walking, balancing, stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, sitting on the floor, reaching, squatting or kneeling, twisting and ascend/descend steps. Ability to react quickly to the physical actions of children and to perform the physical requirements of bus monitor. Sufficient vision and hearing to perform job duties. Sufficient manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to perform job duties. Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
