The Simulator Technician Apprentice, I, II, III, maintain and /or repair flight training devices (FTDs) in accordance with Regulatory Authority requirements and company standards by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned. FlightSafety Learning Centers provide training and support to Customer and Clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Learning Center technicians may be scheduled at varying times and days to support the Customer needs. Apprentice (Grade 9) – Entry level uses basic understanding of the field to perform job duties Works directly with more senior Teammates. Work is closely observed and reviewed. Tech I (Grade 12) – Performs more varied and difficult aspects of the job; may need some guidance on job duties; applies learning to recommend options to address unusual situations Tech II (Grade 13) – Successfully completes diverse tasks of the job; applies and enhances knowledge and skill in both usual and unusual issues; needs minimal guidance in addressing unusual situations. Tech III (Grade 15) – Performs without assistance; recognized as a resource to others: able to translate complex issues to others; able to improve processes; focus on broad issues. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: (Minimum Requirements) Apprentice – Associate's degree in electronics from college or completion of an electronics technical school preferred; or a combination of three (3) years’ education and experience, including civilian/military electronics, or related technical experience. Tech I - Associate's degree in electronics from a college or completion of a civilian/military electronics technical school preferred, and meet the proficiency requirements of the Technician Advancement Qualification Grid. Tech II - Associate's degree in electronics from a college or completion of a civilian/military electronics technical school preferred, and meet the proficiency requirements of the Technician Advancement Qualification Grid. Tech III - Associate's degree in electronics from a college or completion of a civilian/military electronics technical school preferred, and meet the proficiency requirements of the Technician Advancement Qualification Grid.
