Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Description:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials and supplies.
- Ensures purchase order number is on all paperwork for products, materials and supplies received.
- Receives material paperwork, prints labels, ensures special order products have appropriate labels, scans documentation and inputs received material into the computer system.
- Communicates and coordinates with appropriate vendor for product returns/repair and creates supplier return in the system.
- Physically loads product on company trucks for delivery.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with vendors and vendor delivery personnel, as well as our internal shop and driver personnel.
- Helps in maintaining a clean, neat and orderly shop area.
- Understands and adheres to organizational and department policy and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
. Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience with doors, lumber or building supplies strongly desired.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills are required.
- Prior experience in shipping and receiving is strongly desired.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices and department manuals.
- Working knowledge of computerized inventory control system, MS Outlook, and MS Office computer software.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
