Shipping / Receiving Clerk

- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the flow of all inbound and outbound materials as well as inventory control. Duties include, but are not limited to: shipping & receiving, inventory control, stock put away, stock room inventory accuracy, QC and inspection of inbound materials, maintaining proper safety stocks of parts, customer order fulfillment, and pulling needed parts for production.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receives inbound shipments; unloads trucks using forklift or pallet jack if necessary.
- Inspects shipment contents for damage; compares with packing slip to verify accuracy.
- Processes material receipts in ERP system (Syteline); tags materials for production jobs.
- Performs incoming inspection of materials confirming product conforms to engineering drawings or manufacturers specifications; conducts visual and measurement tests; rejecting unacceptable materials. Accurately documents the inspection results.
- Communicates with Purchasing to resolve incoming material discrepancies.
- Pulls materials from inventory to fulfill production job requirements.
- Delivers materials to departments or assembly areas using pallet jack, carts, or forklift.
- Pulls materials to fulfill customer orders, working with Customer Service and Purchasing.
- Packages outbound materials for safe transit; assembles boxes, builds crates and skids when necessary.
- Prepares shipping documents and schedule freight pick-ups as required.
- Contacts freight carrier to arrange shipping of materials.
- Coordinates with Riggers and truck drivers for outbound shipping, ensures that all outbound shipments are strapped or chained and tarped, and takes pictures of all outbound shipments for future reference.
- Performs inventory cycle counts according to established guidelines and assist with developing actions to correct inventory problems.
- Manages inventory quantities, locations and safety stocks.
- Keeps warehouse, parts cages, staging and dock areas clean and orderly and ensures parts cages access is limited and controlled at all times.
- Takes photos of parts to build inventory database; adds country of origin to database.
- Preforms other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for cutting surface order fulfillment utilizing necessary tools such as table saw.

- QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to lift minimum 50lbs.
- Experience with power and hand tools including, but not limited to table saw, circular saw, miter saw, nail / staple guns, drills.
- Forklift experience preferred, but not required (training available)
- Organization, detail oriented, planning, time management, dependability
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office such as OUTLOOK and EXCEL
- Must have experience with Windows based computers
- Syteline experience preferred, but not required (training available)
- UPS Worldwide Ship experience preferred, but not required (training available)

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
