Summary: The Shipping & Support Assistant will support the Payroll and Shipping Department in completing all assigned duties. These duties can include, preparing packages and labeling, maintaining order with large mail bundles, handling time sensitive material and ensuing packages meet overnight delivery when required. Will also assist in Administrative duties such as MRR (My Restaurant Reports) and any other tasks assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Cultivate and foster excellent working relationships with clients and team members
- Assist payroll department in printing and sorting client materials
- Create accurate overnight shipping labels and prepare packages for mailing
- Maintain client shipping database and tracking process.
- Ensure packages meet overnight delivery
- Lift large bundles of mail, overnight packages and shipments of paper
- Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages
- General inquiries and client services
- Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detail
- Maintain and clean all equipment in shipping room
- Monthly invoicing of shipping costs to clients
- Assist in preparing, shipping of year end tax forms
- Complete any other tasks assigned

- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma and two or more years of office related experience required, preferably in shipping or payroll support
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Bilingual is a plus
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Computer Skills: To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of, internet software, spreadsheet software and word processing software.
