TE Connectivity's Energy Business Unit is in search of a motivated Shipper & Receiver for our Fuquay-Varina, NC facility. This is a permanent, full-time position. TE Connectivity's Shipping & Receiving Teams perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. They use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting incoming and outgoing shipments. They follow shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Teams receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment. They process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. They also route merchandise to destinations.

  • Follow standard work instructions to receive in product from suppliers and other TE sites.
  • Load and Unload trailers throughout the day.
  • Utilize RF Scanners to receive and put away stock.
  • Be able to move stock around the warehouse
  • Perform quality and accuracy checks to verify items are put away in the correct locations.
  • Flexibility to support multiple duties of overall warehouse responsibilities.
  • Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities.
  • Displays strong interpersonal skills and a positive and professional attitude.
  • Support TEOA (Lean/Six Sigma) activities and responsibilities.
  • Perform inventory counts on a daily basis.
  • Understands and follows all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Displays strong interpersonal skills and a positive and professional attitude.
  • Be able to work along the side of other departments within the Company
What your background should look like:
  • High School/G.E.D. education.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of similar work experience required;
  • Forklift experience preferred but not necessary (on-site Training)
  • Automated materials storage systems knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of multiple Carrier shipping processes preferred
  • Cycle count/physical inventory, auditing experience preferred
  • RF scanner experience preferred
  • SAP experience a plus but not required
  • ISO knowledge preferred; experience in Lean/ Six Sigma preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to lift to 35 lbs consistently
  • Ability to work in a frequently changing team environment
  • Ability to stand 8 hours a day
