We are looking for a Plumbing and Epoxy Liner Apprentice to join our team. Job Description:
Safely perform tasks involving physical labor for epoxy lining of pipes and plumbing projects. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, build epoxy liners, install plumbing fixtures, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. May assist other technicians and teams.Essential Job Functions- Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor in epoxy lining and plumbing construction projects.
- Assist in installing and maintaining plumbing systems.
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
- Safely handle and store materials, including epoxy and liners.
- Assemble and install valves and fittings.
- Assemble and install epoxy liners.
- Safely load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Lead Technician or Project Manager.
- Keep lines of communications open with each other, team members, management and clients/customers.
Required Skills:- Some knowledge of safe use of equipment, materials and supplies used in plumbing and construction work.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to production schedules.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Must have completed OSHA 10 Hour course
Required Experience:- We are a DRUG FREE workplace, must be able to pass pre-employment drug/background check
- No DUI’s (Must have valid driver’s license)
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- General Construction/Plumbing Knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 25Lbs individually
- Clean and Presentable appearance
- Willing and able to travel
- Willing to work in a field/exterior environment
- Willing to work a flexible schedule: day work, night work, weekend work, and on call shifts
