TOUR I: (11:00PM-7:30AM)

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Under direct supervision, performs work of ordinary difficulty and responsibility in the area of housekeeping; performs related work.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Cleans, maintains and/or sterilizes assigned areas of the health care setting by emptying wastebaskets, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming and washing/mopping floors, walls, vents, window sills and furniture with appropriate cleaning equipment, solutions and disinfectants.
• Terminally cleans discharged patient rooms, or after each procedure according to the assigned area.
• Refills soap, paper towel and toilet tissue dispensers.
• On patient care units, performs bed washing and making duties.
• Strips and refinishes floor surfaces as assigned.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for the KCHC patient population, staff and general public.
• Performs other related housekeeping activities as required.

• Ability to read and write English and to understand and carry out simple instructions.

• High school/GED preferred not required.
