Summary: The primary role of the Senior Analyst is to produce written operational products for Red Five’s project managers and provide project management support to other activities and projects. This includes researching, drafting, and delivering original products based on Client needs and/or current events; and completing information requests and/or products in support of Red Five’s different companies, offices, and/or practice areas.

Duties and Responsibilities: The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of this position. Employees are expected to perform other duties as requested that may not be included within this job description.

  • Researching and assessing information for Red Five written products, and participating in related field work as needed, including:

o Threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments;

o Open source security assessments;

o Online exposure and privacy reviews;

o Reviews of security design, technology, and engineering projects;

o Person of interest investigative reports; and

o Miscellaneous investigations;

  • Drafting original products as requested by Red Five management;
  • Conducting portions of threat assessments for Client facilities, with a specific focus on open source research about the assets and threats, and coordination with relevant Subject Matter Experts;
  • Managing or assisting in the management of Client projects, to include the project scope, schedule, and budget;
  • Conducting research and providing factual background information to all Red Five Practices, including non-financial due diligence research for business development;
  • In a backup capacity, monitoring current events and producing related written operational products as requested by a supervisor, including:

o Travel threat reports;

o Spot reports on evolving global events;

o Executive protection advance reports; and

o Daily updates on local, national, and global news;

  • Performing other duties as assigned.
. Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree in International Relations, Government, Law, or a related field with a focus on Security; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Previous relevant experience as an Analyst or Associate in the security consulting or intelligence field;
  • Possess knowledge of threat assessment/risk assessment processes, the intelligence cycle, the project management process, and other security industry related processes as may be necessary;
  • Prior experience with investigative writing, technical writing, intelligence analysis, protective intelligence, and/or open source research and analysis (OSINT);
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  • Experience with Google Docs, Gmail, and Google Drive;
  • Experience using project management software preferred;
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills;
