From your PASSION to ours This position is part of a team that contributes to Telecommunications and network projects from conception through maintenance. The Senior Telecommunications Engineer is responsible for design and troubleshoot telecommunications and network communications systems. Responsibilities include design and provisioning of telecommunications equipment as well as specifying and ordering carrier services from telecommunications providers. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: · Hardware Architect and Hands-on management of all Lactalis telecom systems · Researching, planning, designing, and implementing telecom solutions · Application Support for Cisco telecom infrastructure · CUCM- Unified Communication Manager · Performance and Tuning of Cisco and Shore Tel telecom infrastructure · Implementation and enforcing standards throughout telecom infrastructure · Analyzing and monitor system capacity and performance for upgrades and expansion · Proactively provide management recommendations for budgeting and business plans · Problem resolution: Troubleshoot and diagnose problem relating to TCP/IP, UDP, QoS, MPLS and SIP while documenting root cause and performing corrective action · Document and Diagram current and future expansion of systems and network through thoughtful analysis and review · Analyze IP and SIP endpoint and trunk issues · Work in conjunction with third party vendors to expedite resolution · Assist in the design of network and telecommunications systems, wiring schematics and equipment configurations. · Continually improves the networks by monitoring and evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput and latency. · Creation and maintenance of documentation on Telecom processes for both internal department use and user education. · Member of a team and participates in off hours, on-call rotation. · Provides technical support and guidance to Help Desk Technicians & all staff. · Completion of related tasks as needed to satisfy departmental and company mission. · Participate in team leadership and mentoring of junior members · Travel and / or extended or off work hours may be required. · This description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions, it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. · To fulfill these responsibilities, tools such as a computer, phone or, and / or allowance(s) may be provided. · Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Requirements From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Education · Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a computer systems related field or possess equivalent experience in IT. Experience Applicants are expected to have a knowledge base on IT systems including: · 5+ years hands on VoIP experience (design and implementation) · 2+ years routers and switches as it relates to telecommunication · A solid understanding of Telecom servers and networking · Project management skills a must · Extensive experience in configuration and administration of PBXs and SBCs · Demonstrated advance networking experience with TCP/IP, UDP, QoS, MPLS and SIP · Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills · Must possess knowledge of monitoring technologies\methods relating to telecom systems · Must possess a high level of comfort with debugging complex issues · Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to work independently and with a team in a highly customer-focused environment · Strong understanding of all aspects of Phone and Networking Systems as well as strong technical aptitude and problem solving skills are needed to perform this job successfully Familiarity a plus · Routing Protocols: BGP/OSPF · Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2003 to 2016) · MS Office Products, MS Exchange, Lotus Notes · VMWare Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Schedule: Supplemental Pay: Education: Work Location: One location
