We are hiring for the position of Sr. System Software Engineer in Automotive Safety, focusing on developing a safety certified 3D graphics software stack. In this role, you will focus on applying V-Model methodologies to the development of graphics system software. What you’ll be doing: You will be working on safety critical software in our Tegra graphics team, responsible for building and supporting our graphics system software. Lead safety documentation on requirements, architecture design, unit design to satisfy automotive functional safety processes such as ASPICE, ISO-26262 and ASIL Drive creation and maintaince of safety work product developments such as requirements traceability, architecture decomposition & design and verification plans Work closely with diverse teams of engineers to derive functional and safety requirements from use cases and integrate and validate requirements. We will count on you to guide graphics teams in system safety engineering methodologies for development. Drive complex cross-team technical issues to closure. What we need to see: BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. 5+ years of proven industry experience in automotive safety. Being an expert in automotive standards such as ISO-26262, MISRA, Cert-C/C++, ASPICE, AUTOSAR, and ASIL. Strong background in automotive safety concept, failure mode, common analysis tools such as FMEA Dedicated and self-motivated, with a passion for developing safe and secure embedded software. Excellent programming, architecture, and design skills, with hands-on experience in systems software engineering. Strong background in developing software within a regulated development environment (medical, aerospace, automotive). We seek engineers who bring experience in process definition, improvement, implementation, and roll-out. We’re looking for engineers with strong communication skills who enjoy working across multiple teams/domains and are good in guiding and helping others. Ways to stand out from the crowd: An understanding of graphics fundamentals and in-depth knowledge of GPU and CPU architecture. Experience with OpenGL, OpenGL SC or Vulkan. Success applying the V-Model to complex engineering projects, ideally in all stages of the SW development life cycle. Thorough understanding of the requirements management process and experience with tools (i.e. JAMA). Hands-on experience with automotive software development and Agile development methodologies. Ability to work and communicate effectively across multiple geographies in a multifaceted matrix organization.
