SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST - 1ST SHIFT

SUMMARY
The Senior Supply Chain analyst will partner with the customer and internal supply chain teams to help optimize the end to end supply chain with a focus on network cost and service. Will conduct detailed analysis on product flow and supply chain opportunities applying advanced systems and process excellence tools. Implements process improvements through cross-functional collaboration as well as partnering with customers to drive achievement of organizational metrics and customer goals.
This role will develop close partnership with business users to truly understand needs. This includes processes for material and production planning and scheduling, cost control, procurement, subcontracting, inventory/batch management, inventory valuation, warehousing, inter transfers, etc. This person will provide support and work closely with cross-functional team members to resolve business process issues, and lead, manage and/or participate in multiple division level projects/assignments with typically high degree of complexity and change management components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Uses advanced statistical techniques.
- Uses quantitative models and their application, including advanced statistical methods such as causal and predictive modeling, data mining, and simulation to prepare, manipulate, and extract data and information from multiple internal and external sources and leverages data to develop and execute strategies and to perform large and complex data analysis.
- Builds, tests, optimizes and automates algorithm/process wherever possible.
- Proactively recommends designing and implementing enhancements to existing products, systems, and collaborates effectively across, and at multiple levels of the organization.
- Creates and maintains recurring metrics, dashboards, and analyses to identify both opportunities and risks. Troubleshoots underperforming metrics and develops a plan to increase compliance levels.
- Writes weekly business review documents to socialize program KPIs and current action items
- Plans and implements supply chain optimization projects.
- Drives systemic improvements through identification of key re-occurring theme and deep understanding of end to end system knowledge.
- Collaborates with production planning and purchasing to ensure customer requirements are understood and quickly identifies and communicates current and future impacts to the supply chain roadmap, as well as developing sound recovery plans.
- Reports inventory status versus safety stock targets and communicates plans and initiatives to achieve and maintain desired stocking levels. Also, monitors items inventory levels to achieve the financial/ inventory and service goals of the Company.
- Collects and creates inventory forecasts and make necessary analysis.
- Evaluates inventory positions and item classifications.
- Monitors the Suppliers and Company on-time delivery goals for buy items. Tracks performance issues with suppliers and determines ways improvements can be accomplished. Reviews suggestions for improvement or causes of poor performance with Manager.
- Continues to improve reporting data and access to data across the organization including report automation, schedule adherence and tracking.
- Interacts and source requirements from our partners in Supply Chain verticals – Demand planning, Supply planning, Purchasing, Production, Order Fulfillment, Transportation as well as Sales.
- Provides second level support for global production operations to resolve reported incidents, advise users in the proper use of the system, and implement approved upgrades, enhancements, and project requests.
- Collects data on supply chain operations including scheduling, sourcing, warehousing, production and delivery and analyzes data to identify areas of supply chain operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Analyzes re-order points and Supplier lead times and adjusts accordingly.
- Reviews MRP requirements and notifies manager when MRP settings may not be adequate to support intended demand.
- Compile and verify capacity inputs; including the governance of changes
- Identifies sourcing and capital recommendations to address over-capacity situations
- Prepares routine and ad hoc utilization summaries to be distributed to internal stakeholders
- Participates in performance review of suppliers to review supplier performance and identifies/eliminates causes for poor performance, focusing on delivery performance, quality or cost issues.
- Leads in identifying, planning and implementing end to end solutions that improve service and cost and or implement new capabilities
- Analyzes, recommends, and implements modifications to product manufacturing patterns for optimal service and improved overall efficiencies using MOQ/EOQ/Postponements.
- Drives process and systems improvements that positively impact order management, inventory management, and dashboard measures
- Helps resolve escalated discrepancies relating to data integrity, shipping issues, and orders fulfillment through root cause identification and corrective actions
- Participates in overseeing MRP for purchasing, scheduling, and inventory control to manage materials throughout the sites.
- Performs data clean up and maximizes use of the ERP system
- Uses expertise as the site subject matter expert in ERP systems to enhance tools
- Analyzes purchasing and planning item attribute data and makes system updates as required
- Leads new product supply chain design process to drive improvement on quality, delivery, cost, risk, and flexibility for long term success
- Analyzes supply chain aspects using value stream mapping, new product implementation, identification of alternate materials / processes, root cause analysis, control plans on critical processes, value engineering or aligning requirements to process capabilities. must demonstrate effective use of value stream mapping techniques.
- Develops ad hoc reporting solutions that provide insight into forecasting, inventory, and ordering metrics
- Works with Customer Fulfillment, Customer Supply Chain, Logistics and planning on ensuring sales orders are fulfilled by ATP and are goods issued on time and in full.
- Based on data analysis, market groups forecasts and historical trends, creates mid-term and long-term high-level planning proposals
- Prepares, documents, contributes and leads monthly, quarterly, and annually Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, ensuring capacity planning supports sales growth trends.
- Ensures Sales and Operations Planning reporting includes all assumptions, highlights areas of over and/or underperformance with accompanying risks and opportunities in a presentable format to multiple layers of the business including up to the Executive team.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Analytics, Data Science, or Mathematics. Masters, MBA, APICS or other related certifications are a plus. Prefer seven years’ experience in inventory planning, inventory analysis, inventory forecasting, supply chain analysis or planning, distribution planning, or a similar function. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered if the related experience is directly related to Supply Management or Supply Chain department.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Must possess a thorough understanding of supply chain operations.
- Strong legacy and ORACLE systems background
- Experience and knowledge on one or more modules (Demand Planning, Supply Planning & Deployment, Finite Scheduling) of planning tool
- Data mining skills including the ability to retrieve, manipulate, analyze and interpret information and make recommendations.
- Strong knowledge of Python, and SQL programming language is required
- Strong knowledge of MSSQL and MySQL databases is required
- Experience using business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical methods and modeling
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, analytical and driven to succeed. Ability to interface effectively with others at all levels is essential. Ability to make presentations to small groups.
- Drop ship experience preferred
- Possessing E-commerce and Product Management knowledge is a plus
- Preferred experience in planning, transportation, inventory management, Replenishment Methodologies and strategic sourcing.
