Position Summary You’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end sales planning process for all PRO product categories across Timberland’s owned retail channels (Direct to Consumer (DTC)). Your responsibilities will include developing informed item and category level plans, monthly forecasting, buy plans, Open-to-Buy (OTB) management, promotional activity and life-cycle management. Senior Planner, PRO Marketplace Planning (Timberland PRO) In this role, you’ll become a trusted member of the PRO Planning Team. In addition to building relationships with your team, you will build connections with others to drive success: PRO Merchandising, Americas and Global Merchandising, Retail Allocations, Product Operations, Finance, Supply Chain Operations, Retail District Managers and Marketing. How You Will Make a Difference What you will do:

  • DTC planning
    • Manage the sales planning process end-to-end for PRO Americas DTC
    • Create and maintain accurate style level plans, aligned with key strategies, to influence the Americas demand forecast and buy
    • Track progress against sales plans/targets and provide quantitative and qualitative feedback in support of the monthly financial projection/open to buy
    • Optimize inventory across channels, driving turn and profitability
    • Partner with leadership on pricing strategies and maintenance
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to management and stakeholders consisting of key performance indicators (KPIs) that inform and drive business direction
    • Review, analyze and interpret weekly sell-through results and provide insight into treads at the channel and product level that drive the business forward, e.g., promotions, extra buys, etc.
    • Collaborate and communicate with business partners for a plan of action
    • Support ad hoc reporting requests as needed
How you will do it:
  • Work collaboratively and drive action with key stakeholders (sales, stores, and the merchandising, wholesale planning, demand planning leadership teams, etc.) with a focus on key milestones to ensure future season plans line up with the business strategy and expectations with a keen focus on improving KPIs (sell-throughs, Average Selling Prices (ASPs), Store Keeping Unit (SKU) productivity, etc.)
  • Participate/lead special projects and strategic growth initiatives as needed to support the brand
  • Be a strategic thought partner to inform and develop the 5-year strategic plan, annual budget and monthly forecast for new initiatives not yet included in the normal planning cycle

Skill for Success Years of Related Professional Experience: 5-7 years’ planning and/or allocation in a multi-store environment, preferably in the footwear industry A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees such as a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field, are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

    • Superior computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, experience in Power BI a plus
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; highly organized
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present findings
    • A talent for developing high-level strategic plans and managing the detailed follow-through
    • The aptitude to establish a sensible forecast, evaluate the results and realistically forecast subsequent outcomes and deliver plans to achieve goals
