Position Summary*
The Senior Media Planner will strategically formulate media recommendations for all clients including objectives, (target audience, geography, seasonality, weight levels, etc.) strategies and tactics. The Senior Media Planner will work closely with Assistant Media Planners, Supervisors, Directors and Buyers in addition to interacting with Account and Creative teams.
Responsibilities

• Support recommendations with adequate documentation and rational
• Present recommendations to the client and follow-up as needed
• Negotiate with print and OOH media for most favorable rates, positioning and “added-value” merchandising
• Supervise/train junior media personnel (Assistant Planner)
• Maintain effective working relationships with sales representatives
• Work closely with broadcast negotiators from the beginning of the planning process through buy execution and post-analysis
• Look for innovate, alternative media solutions which address key client needs

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of media planning experience.
• Local Hispanic media experience a plus
• Communicate in a clear, concise, written style
• Strong working knowledge and correct use of media tools and terminology
• Proficiency in media math concepts/formulae and media analysis techniques and limitations
• Understanding of media research sources, systems, techniques and limitations
• Effective presenter (either one-on-one or in a group setting)
• Able to handle multiple assignments concurrently and work effectively under time pressure.
• Spanish-language proficiency preferred but not required.
