As Senior Information Security Engineer you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by supporting the Pacific Life Enterprise Information Security Office Engineering team, with a focus on Application Security, Automation, and Cloud Security (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS.). While reporting to the Engineering Manager of the Information Security Office, you’ll be responsible for the architecture, deployment, and configuration of Enterprise Information Security Office security tools.

In this role, you’ll facilitate integration with various enterprise IT teams to ensure projects and company initiatives are conducted according to company information security standards. You’ll also advise IT staff, risk management stakeholders, managers and staff regarding Information Security policies during IT project initiatives.

How You’ll Contribute
Line 1 support of the Information Security Office Operations team; Line 2 support for the entire Pacific Life Enterprise
Architect, configure, and help deploy security tools managed by the Information Security Office
Increase Information Security Office Operational Team efficiency by introducing automation
Provide guidance around IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS security best practices as part of the company’s transition to the cloud
Provide structured and consistent support to IT project teams by ensuring all enterprise information security requirements and associated risks are addressed
Participate in security project requirements definition as a representative of the enterprise governance teams
Facilitate the identification and documentation of project issues and risks
Serve as point of contact to enterprise IT teams working through all phases of the System development life cycle to support the integration of information security requirements and best practices

Tech & Tools You May Use
Splunk, CASB, Ansible, Python, Oauth, API integration

Factors for Success
5+ years with information security, operational IT security, security architecture, and supporting IT teams from an information security perspective
Application Automation – Ansible, Chef, API integration, SOAR
Experience with cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and general IaaS, SaaS, PaaS deployments) with a focus on security
SecDevOps - Familiarity with security integration into the software development life-cycle and associated tools
Familiarity with security tools such as Splunk, WAF, CASB, Microsoft ATP/Sentinel
Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux, IoT), risks, and platform security measures
Basic understanding of network technologies and securing an internal network
Information security experience and knowledge of general security concepts, such as defense-in-depth, least privilege, security architecture and design, threat modeling, etc.
