Job Title: Senior Global Sourcing Manager

Location: Conyers, GA or Richmond, VA


What we’re looking for:


We are looking for a Global Sourcing Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the creation and implementation of strategic initiatives within all sourcing categories. Specific responsibilities include management of the Global Sourcing Leaders, development of reference sourcing processes and mentorship of strategic sourcing strategies.

Additionally, the Manager will own the overall Dover Food Retail sourcing performance to cost-out and risk mitigation goals and may facilitate or lead key supplier negotiations.


What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

  • Strategically manage DFR spend of $300M+ across 4 divisions (8 manufacturing sites)
  • Utilize team and peer network to drive continual improvements in Supplier Quality, Cost, Delivery and Customer service levels for the business
  • Facilitate and monitor project identification and delivery with internal and external Dover resources
  • Actively drive supply continuity risk reduction through the Global Sourcing Leader team
  • Maximize team performance to drive AOP project results
  • Provide project oversight to ensure alignment across divisions
  • Work closely with finance managers to assure accurate and transparent KPI reporting of savings
  • Drive improvements to working capital through supplier initiatives
  • Establish sourcing methodology and standard work within Dover Food Retail
  • Work with Supplier Quality and site Purchasing to develop balanced Supplier Scorecards and establish formal Performance Review meetings
  • Ensure supplier selection process and awards of business comply with Dover integrity standards and the Dover Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Partner with Dover Corporate Sourcing to leverage Dover-wide spend and implement Dover-wide savings programs
  • Support trade compliance initiatives as assigned within category of responsibility

What are the basic qualifications?


  • Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain, Engineering or Finance preferred)
  • 10+ years of strategic sourcing experience.
  • 15+ years of overall professional experience.


What are the preferred qualifications?


  • CPIM or equivalent certification
  • Black Belt or Lean certification
  • Significant cross functional experience
  • Advanced Degree

  • Well versed in sourcing strategy creation and implementation

  • Contract negotiations expertise and experience
  • Prior experience in a project environment
