FARO is looking for an experienced, reliable, and organized accounting professional to become a valuable contributor to our Finance and Accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting, this fast-paced and challenging role will play a crucial part in FARO’s accounting efforts. The Senior of Financial Reporting and Consolidations (“Senior”) will work collaboratively across the Finance team and the Company to ensure compliance with external and internal reporting requirements by assisting in the preparation and filing of the Company’s financial reports for internal management and externally with the SEC which primarily include but are not limited to quarterly and annual financial reporting. This role will own the global month-end consolidations. You have:

• BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
• Big 4 experience is required
• CPA is required
• Minimum of 3 years of audit and/or SEC/technical accounting experience
• Strong technical accounting background and understanding of U.S. GAAP. Experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842 is coveted.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly detail oriented, organized, self-motivated and commitment to a high level of accuracy
• Must have strong work ethic and be able to meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent team player who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
• Prior experience with SAP or other consolidation tools is highly regarded

How you will make a difference @ FARO:

• Prepare the Company's SEC reporting on Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, Proxy and other ad hoc filings, including preparation of financial statements, footnotes, auditable support and analysis
• Assist with research and preparation of technical accounting treatment position papers
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and accounting policy developments and support implementation efforts including required disclosures and senior management education
• Heavily support the month-end close process and management reporting for assigned areas which include global consolidations
• Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting as required
• Perform ongoing SOX compliance requirements. Support and adhere to strong internal control policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement
• Liaise with external auditors. Support consolidated financial audits and statutory audits, including preparation of PBC items
• Assist in establishing and maintaining accounting policies, best practices and procedures
• Assist in the processing and reporting of various corporate governance and equity compensation related topics.
