REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Senior Executive Assistant reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President. This position will also take direction from various members of the executive team and PHS Board and Committee Chairs that this position supports.
The Senior Executive Assistant works collaboratively with PHS Management staff, site leaders and employees, internal and external members of the Board of Directors, Attorneys, Consultants, CEO’s network, Community Leaders, and Customers as assigned Responsibilities: The Senior Executive Assistant to the President/CEO provides diverse and complex administrative and operational duties, representing Presbyterian Home and Services and the President, with the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality of critical business matters. As an ambassador and liaison, the Senior Executive Assistant will partner to sort through, manage, and prioritize the constant, ever-changing flow of the Executive office. This position serves as the primary point of contact on all matters pertaining to the CEO for internal and external contacts; the board of directors, executive leadership team, team members, CEO’s network, and community leaders. This position will provide high-level support and strategic partnership in executing day-to-day business activities within and outside the organization in the area that may include but is not limited to administrative support, internal and external meetings management, and project management. The Senior Executive Assistant will work across multiple functions and take the initiative to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders, including PHS Parent Boards, Board Chairs, and Committee Chairs. This position will also provide back-up for Affiliate/Partnered Boards and legal.
This position is a key member of PHS leadership/management team, responsible for acknowledging the Christian purposes of PHS; reinforcing the Christian heritage and establishing a culture of caring consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
2. Professional certification preferred.
3. Four (4) to six (6) years of executive administrative support experience.
4. Advanced proficiency in computer software applications, such as desktop publishing, project
management, spreadsheets, and database management. Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and
interpret data. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, video conferencing, multi-line
phones, and other administrative equipment.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects with simultaneous deadlines and many interruptions while
remaining efficient, prompt, and cordial. Strong planning, organizational, time and project management
skills.
6. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in various situations; ability to stay calm under
pressure and resolve problems before they escalate.
7. Must be detail oriented, ambitious and self-directed; ability to communicate potential problems to the
CEO and discern between urgent and non-critical interrupters. Identify issues and uses effective
problem-solving techniques, tact and discretion in managing a variety of situations.

8. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills. Superior usage of
grammar, formatting, and identifying errors is also very important.
