Griffith Foods is a global manufacturer of food products. We provide a wide range of taste and texture components for food industry customers throughout the world. Our products include seasoning blends, dry mixes, coating systems, dough blends, crumbs, flavors, sauces and food bases that are used in an extensive variety of application from snack foods and processed meat and poultry to ready meals. Our customers include food processors, restaurant operators and grocery retailers. While our name may not be familiar to consumers, our products are key components of foods offered by many of the world’s best-known companies. The senior accountant is responsible for the preparation of actual, budget and forecast financials for the corporate group. This role is responsible for project (construction in progress) accounting for all domestic companies, as well as posting and auditing Purchasing Card (P-Card) activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Corporate Accounting
  • Reporting of actual, budget and forecast financials for the corporate group (GFGI, GFII and GGI) in Microsoft Dynamics and BPC.
  • Preparation and review of invoices for payment, journal entries, account reconciliation and SG&A reports to communicate results
  • Maintain daily bank reconciliation of main bank account
  • Compilation of annual budget and forecast
Project Accounting
  • Responsible for reconciling CIP (construction in progress) for all domestic companies.
  • Opening new projects
  • Maintain reconciliations for engineering and finance to provide updates on project spend
  • Report monthly spend to engineering department by project
  • Review issues as they arise, reclass necessary
  • Close projects once complete to be added as fixed assets for tax
Purchasing Card
  • Responsible for posting monthly fuel/purchasing card activity for all domestic companies. Will perform monthly audits of the PCard and review for any capital expenditures that need to be reclassified.
  • Communicate to finance leader’s transaction activity posted each month
  • Work with Treasury on findings of the PCard audit
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organization skills with attentiveness to timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Responsible, dependable and possess an exceptional work ethic.
  • Strong grasp of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize various tasks and/or projects.
  • Deadline-orientated with the ability to complete tasks and ad-hoc projects timely.
  • General ledger and journal entry experience.
